Aerospace Mechanical Engineer

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DP-03 (GS-9/11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Knowledge of and experience in turbine engine engineering, manufacturing and associated system failure modes (ie. fatigue, corrosion, creep, oxidation); 2. Knowledge of and experience performing with safety, reliability, and risk assessment of turbine engine component failure modes; 3. Knowledge of and experience in turbomachinery structural analysis, testing, and component lifting methods to evaluate operating conditions w/ emphasis on utilization of data analytics; 4. Experience in Engineering project management and leading teams; 5. Ability to research, organize, and analyze technical data, new systems concepts, and complex engineering proposals for aircraft turbine engine systems; and 6. Ability to communicate orally and in writing and present conclusions to the program manager and senior leadership.
