Terminal Operator

• Title: Terminal Operator • Location: [Specify Terminal Location, USA] • Employment Type: Full-Time Role One of our clients is hiring for a Terminal Operator to safely operate and maintain a cement distribution terminal. This hands-on role involves operating terminal equipment, managing bulk truck and railcar operations, and supporting efficient terminal processes. Safety, quality, and customer service are the primary focus of this position. About the Role The Terminal Operator is responsible for loading and unloading bulk trucks and railcars, maintaining terminal equipment, and ensuring high-quality service to customers. The role requires compliance with safety laws, regulations, and terminal policies, as well as a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized terminal environment. A positive attitude, mechanical aptitude, and teamwork are essential for success. Key Responsibilities • Comply with all Local, State, and Federal Laws and Regulations • Load bulk trucks correctly, providing legal weights and proper product for customer delivery/pick-up • Perform routine maintenance on terminal equipment and maintain a clean, presentable terminal • Conduct clerical tasks for recording receipts, shipments, and inventory • Unload railcars, transfer products into silos, sample and test products received and shipped • Work at heights, in confined spaces, near water, around moving equipment, and lift up to 50 lbs • Recognize and correct deficiencies, maintain high quality standards, and work independently • Perform additional duties as required by the Terminal Manager, without creating hazards • Promote and adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies on site Ideal Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent • Relevant industry experience • Mechanical aptitude preferred • Ability to wear a respirator, full body harness, and other PPE as required • Competence with Microsoft Office and Google Suite • Good telephone and interpersonal skills • Ability to learn and retain information quickly • Positive, team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills in English • Ability to perform clerical tasks neatly and accurately • Responsible, dependable, and capable of working without supervision Work Conditions • Exposure to terminal operations, heavy equipment, and industrial environments • Safety-sensitive position requiring adherence to all safety protocols • Pre-employment physical, drug/alcohol testing, and criminal background checks may be required Compensation & Benefits • Estimated Wage Range: $23.50 - $27.75 per hour • 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan (pre-tax and/or Roth) • Medical, Dental, Disability, and Life Insurance • Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) & Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) • Vision and other voluntary benefits • Paid time off and holidays • Paid parental leave (maternity & paternity) • Educational Assistance Program • Dress-for-your-day policy More About the Opportunity Employees are encouraged to develop skill
