Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Satisfactory completion from a certified school of Barbering or Cosmetology. If a graduate of a School of Barbering, the applicant must have progressively responsible experience as a Beautician. Must have recent experience servicing all types of hair to include cutting, up dos, styling, perming, relaxers, coloring (to include balayage and ombre), box braids, twist, corn rolls, extensions, straightening hair with iron, product usage; and experience doing manicures, pedicures, dip nails, facials and waxing. May be required to work an abnormal tour of duty. May be detailed to other work during periods when the shop is not operational. May be required to attend one or more seminars each year to remain current in the state-of-the-art hair care. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
