Use of measuring instruments Ability to interpret instructions, specifications, etc. Ability to use and maintain tools. Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision (SCREEN OUT): Experience performing vehicle and equipment operation checks to determine safety deficiencies or service requirements of vehicles and equipment; performing maintenance on automobiles, trucks, and tractors including adjusting brakes, replacing spark plugs, cleaning or replacing filters, and rotating tires; repairing gasoline and diesel engines including replacing solenoids, water pumps, mufflers, radiator caps, and a variety of belts and hoses; inspecting, repairing, and overhauling small engines and other components on items such as lawn mowers, weed eaters, pumps, ATV's and other related equipment under normal supervision, subject to inspection. Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
