Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision (SCREEN OUT): Ability to perform the most difficult and complex laboring tasks, including maintaining buildings, grounds, roads, and trails; breaks up pavement, soil, or concrete; operating heavy power equipment such as lawnmowers, snow blowers and string trimmers; and safely using a variety of hand tools such as shovels, rakes, hammers, saws, rock bars, etc.; cut heavy trees with axe or chainsaw; stacks heavy logs, lumber, and sacks of cement; performing custodial/janitorial work practices and the safe use of cleaning chemicals for buildings in the absence of janitor and as back- up support. Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
