Whether you're building on our platform, supporting our customers, or shaping our story: You can just ship things.</span></p></div><h2>About the role:</h2> <p>We’re seeking a Anti-Abuse Automation Engineer to join our Trust & Safety team, which protects the integrity of our platform across key abuse areas such as financial fraud, phishing, malware, CSAM, platform abuse, and IP/DMCA infringement.</p> <p>In this role, you will collaborate across Operations, Product, Finance, and Engineering teams to strengthen and scale Vercel’s fraud prevention capabilities. You’ll analyze fraudulent activity, refine detection systems, develop operational processes, and help mitigate risk to both our users and the business.</p> <p>This role is flexible to Remote work in the US.</p> <h2>What you will do:</h2> <ul> <li>Investigate abuse vectors causing reputational risk to the business, such as financial loss or platform abuse.</li> <li>Build, maintain and monitor internal abuse detection tooling and anomaly alerting systems.</li> <li>Develop and refine operational workflows to scale abuse prevention efforts.</li> <li>Work cross-functionally across Operations, Engineering, Product, and Finance to mitigate areas of risk.</li> <li>Represent Trust & Safety during incident response and create mitigation processes.</li> </ul> <h2>About you:</h2> <ul> <li>3+ years of experience in fraud, abuse investigations, or a related Trust & Safety vertical.</li> <li>Built scripts and agents to optimize workflows and outcomes.</li> <li>Excels at setting, tracking, and using KPIs to optimize workflows and outcomes.</li> <li>Experience evaluating and expanding complex user restriction systems.</li> <li>Strong attention to detail, and the ability to translate investigations into scaled systems.</li> <li>Proven track record working cross-functionally to deliver impactful results.</li> <li>Worked with abuse detection systems that leveraged Machine Learning and/or LLMs for large-scale anti-fraud enforcement.</li> <li>Ability to take large data sets and distill key insights into actionable trends and strategies.</li> </ul> <h2>Bonus if you have:</h2> <ul> <li>Experience across multiple Trust & Safety domains, especially when it comes to web hosting or user generated content.</li> <li>Understanding of chargebacks and the overall payments landscape.</li> <li data-section-id="19jpv6l" data-start="67" data-end="138">Hands-on experience using Vercel products and platform capabilities.</li> </ul> <h2>Benefits:</h2> <ul> <li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0">Competitive compensation package, including equity.</li> <li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0">Inclusive Healthcare Package.</li> <li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0">Learn and Grow - we provide mentorship and send you to events that help you build your network and skills.<
