Position Summary ANSER is seeking a Non-Proliferation Treaty Subject Matter Expert (SME). In this role you will provide critical support to the Air Force Deputy Chief of Staff for Strategic Deterrence and Nuclear Integration (AF/A10), International Treaties and Agreements Branch. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your deep expertise in nuclear non-proliferation to influence U.S. Air Force policy and strategy. You will serve as the lead analyst for matters related to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and other associated non-proliferation and disarmament initiatives. Day to Day Responsibilities Serve as the primary subject matter expert on the NPT, the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW), and other related international non-proliferation regimes. Provide expert guidance, analysis, and recommendations to senior Air Force leaders on the implications of these agreements for Air Force operations, modernization, and strategic posture. Analyze and assess the impact of existing and proposed non-proliferation treaties and agreements on Air Force capabilities, operations, and modernization programs. Provide subject matter expertise to support implementation, training, and compliance activities for all arms control agreements affecting DAF operations. Develop and draft official Air Force policy, position papers, briefings, and talking points on non-proliferation issues for senior leaders. Monitor international developments and provide strategic analysis of foreign nuclear programs and non-proliferation challenges. Support Air Force engagement in interagency policy discussions and international forums related to nuclear non-proliferation. Conduct in-depth research and analysis on strategic doctrine, deterrence theory, and national security policy as they relate to treaty obligations and non-proliferation efforts. Assist in developing and reviewing training and education materials for the Air Force workforce on non-proliferation topics. Required Qualifications Must possess an active Top Secret (TS) security clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), Special Access Program (SAP), and Special Access Required (SAR). Bachelor's degree in international relations, political science, national security studies, or a related field. A minimum of 15 years of professional experience in national security, with a significant focus on nuclear non-proliferation and arms control. Demonstrated expert-level knowledge of the NPT, its associated review cycles, and its political and strategic context. Demonstrated expert knowledge of nuclear arms control concepts, objectives, and history. Extensive experience in policy development, strategic analysis, and providing written and verbal recommendations to senior government officials.
