POSITION SUMMARY The Social Media Manager leads Empower Pharmacy’s social presence as a trusted, mission-aligned channel within a regulated healthcare environment. Reporting to the Director of Content, this role ensures consistent, credible, and compliant representation across social platforms, supporting brand trust, audience growth, and long-term engagement. The role brings a social-first mindset and strong editorial judgment, partnering cross-functionally to align social activity with broader content, communications, and reputation priorities while effectively communicating Empower’s mission to provide high-quality, affordable medications. RESPONSIBILITIES Operationalize Empower’s social media strategy across owned and emerging platforms, translating editorial priorities and business objectives into platform-specific content plans. Serve as the primary social media authority, guiding content decisions, platform positioning, and tone while ensuring brand integrity and regulatory compliance. Oversee end-to-end development, production, and publication of platform-native social content in partnership with creative, video, and marketing teams. Manage community engagement and moderation, responding to comments and inquiries with professionalism while enforcing response standards and escalation protocols. Lead social listening and monitoring efforts, identifying trends, sentiment shifts, and potential reputational or regulatory risks, and coordinating escalation as needed. Develop and maintain social media playbooks, workflows, moderation standards, and escalation processes to ensure governance and consistency. Analyze and report on social performance using engagement, growth, and sentiment metrics to inform strategy and optimize execution. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Strong understanding of organic social growth strategies, paid social, and platform best practices. Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and project management skills.
